A major incident can occur at any time even if you’ve complied with relevant legislation and implemented best practice. Whilst it may be unavoidable, ensuring your people are prepared for any eventuality will keep the impact to your people and property to a minimum.

Fire drills
In accordance with BS 9999:2017, fire evacuation drills should take place twice every 12 months. An evacuation is more likely to be panicked and chaotic if occupants have not undertaken regular drills leading to an increased risk of injury.
Fire marshals
Under The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, employers should appoint a ‘competent person’ to assist with fire safety measures, including evacuations. We offer fire marshal training to ensure that those you delegate fire safety responsibilities to are ‘competent’.
